Ondo Finance at $10: Tokenizing U.S. Treasuries and the future of on-chain yield

Ondo’s tokenization of U.S. Treasury Bonds, ETFs, and stocks has fueled institutional adoption and global market expansion.

If RWA adoption accelerates to 100% annually, ONDO could reach $10 by 2028; otherwise, it may hit that mark by 2035.

Tokenization of Real World Assets (RWAs) has become one of the most promising growth areas in the blockchain space.

As Traditional Finance (TradFi) continues to merge with blockchain technology, the market for tokenized assets is set to expand rapidly.

Amid this surge, Ondo Finance [ONDO] stands out as a frontrunner, having already gained 497% since its launch.

With RWA crypto assets attracting increasing attention, the question now is: can tokenization drive even greater growth for ONDO in the future?

With RWA tokenization, at historical levels, Ondo Finance has turned out to be a key player. For starters, it has tokenized RWAs such as U.S. Treasury Bonds and ETFs.

On top of that, total U.S. stocks tokenized have seen an explosive surge, with the market cap surpassing $306 million.

One of the most popular products of ONDO is the U.S. dollar yield, which short-term U.S. treasuries and bank deposits. USDY makes stablecoins with yield-generating products accessible to everyone.

In fact, USDY has experienced massive growth, with its market cap reaching $683 million and a daily trading volume of $2.94 million.

On top of that, OUSG tokenized market cap has also grown, reaching $704 million as per Artemis data.

These two products have seen substantial growth, leading to partnerships with major firms like BlackRock. As a result, ONDO’s tokenized version of BlackRock’s offering—Blkon—has surged in value, reaching $1,175.

This indicates a transformative shift in the traditional financial market, giving ONDO more value and room for growth.

Besides its RWA tokenization, Ondo’s Network usage has also stabilized significantly. According to Token Terminal, Daily Active Addresses have stabilized between 800 and 1k, and were at 1.1k as of writing.

These addresses are further backed by a stable Number of Transactions, which have stabilized at 2k with a monthly count hitting 64k.

Typically, when addresses and transactions rise together, it signals increased network usage and adoption. Often, increased on-chain demand results in a positive impact on the network’s native token, a precursor to higher prices.

ONDO’s RWA tokenization has experienced explosive growth over the past 20 months, creating room for institutional adoption.

These market conditions position ONDO in a favorable condition for more gains on its price charts.

Inasmuch as so, since ONDO is yet to experience a prolonged bull run, the altcoin holds exponential growth potential for upside through 2025 and 2026.

At press time, ONDO was trading at $0.9487, reflecting a 2.47% daily gain. If this upward trend continues, the token could reclaim the $1.09 resistance level in the short term.

Looking ahead to the medium term, ONDO is expected to target $1.24, the upper boundary of its Future Trend Channel, and potentially close out 2025 at that level.

In a bullish scenario, ONDO could reach $2.10 by the end of 2025, with a conservative base around $1.20.

For the long-term outlook, if Real World Asset (RWA) adoption accelerates to 100% annually, ONDO could hit $10 by 2028. However, at its current growth rate of 26% per year, it would take until 2035 to reach that milestone.
