Главное за месяц: конец противостояния SEC и Ripple, интервью с шифропанком и динамика активов

В новом дайджесте проанализировали ситуацию на рынке в августе, обсудили главные угрозы конфиденциальности с экспертом и изучили новинки в ИИ-секторе.

SEC vs. Ripple: дело закрыто

В США завершился важный для индустрии судебный процесс: в деле SEC против Ripple наконец поставлена точка. За пять лет, пока длилось разбирательство, рынок успел кардинально измениться: институционалы все же признали биткоин, на смену старым проектам пришли новые, а власти сменили тон.

Если раньше регулирование в Штатах исходило из правоприменительной практики, то теперь на повестке дружелюбное отношение. И финал дела Ripple стал частью этой перемены.

Взгляд назад

22 декабря 2020 года индустрия получила неприятный рождественский сюрприз — SEC обвинила Ripple Labs в продаже незарегистрированных ценных бумаг в виде токенов XRP розничным инвесторам. Это разбирательство впоследствии стало одним из самых обсуждаемых в сообществе.

Ответчиками по делу также стали CEO Брэд Гарлингхаус и сооснователь Крис Ларсен, которых регулятор посчитал «крупными держателями ценной бумаги». Тогда Гарлингхаус назвал претензии ведомства «ужасным прецедентом» для всей криптовалютной отрасли.

На фоне иска крупные платформы отказались от поддержки токена XRP. Среди них Coinbase и OKCoin, Galaxy Digital, Bitstamp, B2C2, eToro и Kraken.

Глава регулируемой платформы Bakkt Гэвин Майкл исключил добавление монеты в новые продукты, а Grayscale Investments объявила о ликвидации инвестиционного траста на базе XRP.

Управляющая компания 21Shares исключила токен от Ripple из своих торгуемых биржевых продуктов. Фирма Bitwise Asset Management удалила его из флагманского индексного фонда.

Однако 13 июня 2023 года компания одержала частичную победу в деле. Судья Аналиса Торрес постановила, что программные продажи и прочие распределения токенов не представляют собой реализацию инвестиционных контрактов. Но, согласно решению суда, реализация XRP институциональным участникам индустрии нарушала законы о ценных бумагах.

После этого отношение к токену и компании стало меняться. Биржа криптодеривативов BIT добавила в список торгуемых инструментов расчетные опционы на базе XRP, Mastercard запустила CBDC-инициативу с участием Ripple, а игровая онлайн-платформа Roblox включила токен в качестве способа оплаты. Позитив подкрепил и отказ SEC от претензий к Ларсену и Гарлингхаусу.

На этом фоне сообщество все чаще стало обвинять руководство Комиссии в излишнем давлении на индустрию. Ситуацию усугубили претензии регулятора к PayPal, расследования против Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, ConsenSys, Uniswap и других компаний.

В конечном итоге при новой администрации президента США подход поменялся. Незавершенным осталось лишь дело против Ripple.

Все проходит

7 августа 2025 года SEC и Ripple Labs подали в суд совместное ходатайство, отказавшись от дальнейших обжалований. До этого финтех-компанию оштрафовали на $125 млн — тут она тоже праздновала победу, поскольку сумму удалось снизить с $2 млрд.

22 августа Второй апелляционный суд США утвердил соглашение Комиссии и Ripple о прекращении тяжбы. Решение от 2023 года стало окончательным: торгуемый на биржах XRP не является ценной бумагой, а прямые продажи институционалам потребуют регистрации в SEC.

Токен отреагировал ростом выше уровня $3 в рамках общего ралли рынка. На момент написания (25 августа 2025 года) цена скорректировалась до отметок $2,94.

Урегулирование статуса токена от Ripple возродило разговоры о возможном запуске спотовых ETF на базе актива. Так, свои заявки в SEC обновили управляющие активами Grayscale, Bitwise, Canary, CoinShares, Franklin, 21Shares и WisdomTree, обратил внимание биржевой аналитик Bloomberg Джеймс Сейффарт.

Его точку зрения поддержал президент NovaDius Wealth Нейт Джерачи, назвав примечательным групповое изменение запросов. На платформе предсказаний Polymarket шансы одобрения регулятором биржевых XRP-фондов в текущем году составили 82% (по состоянию на 25 августа).

На фоне перспектив ETF и прогресса в регуляторной сфере некоторые аналитики допустили, что в ближайшие месяцы рынок альткоинов могут возглавить XRP и Solana. По словам главного аналитика Bitget Райана Ли, в ближайшее время курс монеты от Ripple может достичь $3,10. В случае преодоления ключевых уровней сопротивления целью станет отметка $4.

Будущее Ripple

CEO Teucrium Сэл Гилберти заявил о скором крахе глобальной платежной системы на базе SWIFT. По его мнению, ее потенциальными преемниками выступают Ripple и XRP.

«Что Ripple собирается делать со своими 40 млрд XRP, учитывая подачу заявки на регистрацию банка? Одна из основных теорий — они просто оставят эти средства на балансе, получат лицензию и войдут в двадцатку крупнейших по капитализации банков мира», — считает Гилберти.

Он подчеркнул, что блокчейн решает важнейшую проблему неэффективности трансграничных переводов. По словам CEO Teucrium, Ripple с сетью XRP Ledger (XRPL) может оказаться лидером в процессе перехода банковских операций со SWIFT на блокчейн.

К слову, в рейтинге ведущих 15 блокчейнов специалисты Kaiko поставили сеть от Ripple на последнее место по безопасности. XRPL получила всего 41 балл из 100, тогда как показатель запущенного изначально как клон протокола от Ripple проекта Stellar составил 45 пунктов.

Кроме того, по данным СМИ, активность в XRP Ledger остается крайне низкой по сравнению с другими крупными сетями.

Тем не менее финтех-компания продолжает завоевывать новых партнеров. Так, японский финансовый конгломерат SBI Holdings подписал меморандум о взаимопонимании с Ripple Labs и ее аффилированной структурой Standard Custody & Trust Company. Целью заявлено продвижение «стабильной монеты» Ripple USD (RLUSD) в стране.

В качестве преимуществ RLUSD отмечены соответствие нормативным требованиям и 100% обеспечение высоколиквидными активами. Планируется, что монета станет доступной в Японии до конца марта 2026 года.

Плюсы для всех

Окончание разбирательства с Комиссией принесло пользу не только Ripple. Глава SEC Пол Аткинс заявил, что ведомство намерено сосредоточиться на разработке четких правил для индустрии после этого процесса.

«Теперь, когда эта глава закрыта, мы можем перенаправить усилия с залов суда за стол переговоров по разработке политики. Нам нужно сосредоточиться на создании четких регуляторных рамок, которые стимулируют инновации, защищая инвесторов», — написал он.

В целом американские регуляторы нацелились на иной подход к правилам для индустрии. Так, CFTC запустила инициативу по легализации спотовой торговли криптовалютами на зарегистрированных биржах. В свою очередь, SEC обновила руководство по правилам учета стейблкоинов.

Помимо этого, ведомство под руководством Аткинса представило новые разъяснения касательно токенов ликвидного стейкинга. Согласно документу, в большинстве случаев они не подпадают под действие закона о ценных бумагах.

«Подразделение считает, что предложение и продажа токенов стейкинг-расписок в описанных обстоятельствах не являются предложением ценных бумаг согласно Разделу 2(a)(1) Закона о ценных бумагах и Разделу 3(a)(10) Закона о биржах — если только депонированные криптоактивы не являются частью инвестконтракта», — уточнили в SEC.

Партнер Morrison Cohen Джейсон Готтлиб заметил, что по аналогии Комиссия может исключить из-под действия законов токены кроссчейн-мостов. Несколькими месяцами ранее регулятор заявил, что стейкинг через программные протоколы или провайдеров услуг — не операция с ценными бумагами.

Сам Аткинс допустил, что под определение ценных бумаг подходят лишь немногие цифровые активы. По его мнению, все зависит от условий их предложения и продажи.

«Наступает новый день, особенно для криптоиндустрии. Мы за инновации. Теперь мы хотим принять инновации», — также отметил председатель Комиссии.

Завершение дела SEC против Ripple стало маркером перемен в американском подходе к крипторегулированию. Насколько устойчивым окажется новый, более мягкий курс — покажет время. По крайней мере, пример калифорнийской компании доказал, что под давлением властей можно не только выстоять, но и усилить позиции.

События месяца

В начале августа разработанная Coinbase L2-сеть Base столкнулась с проблемой — она не производила новые блоки 33 минуты. Согласно команде, причиной стала ошибка в автоматической системе Conductor: из-за высокой активности основной секвенсор начал работать с задержкой. Система попыталась передать управление резервному, но тот еще не был полностью настроен и не мог создавать блоки.

Разработчики пообещали обновить инфраструктуру. К слову, инцидент произошел незадолго до второй годовщины запуска мейннета Base. 9 августа команда поздравила сеть с днем рождения. На момент написания (27 августа 2025 года) Base занимает второе место среди Ethereum-роллапов, уступая только Arbitrum One.

В минувшем месяце ForkLog тоже отметил очередную годовщину — 25 августа культовому журналу о криптовалютах и блокчейне исполнилось 11 лет. В честь этого события редакция вспомнила, что волновало криптосообщество с 2014 по 2025 год и как эти события навсегда изменили рынок.

Не слишком позитивное начало августа выдалось у токена TON — он обвалился после обнародования планов торгующейся на Nasdaq компании Verb Technology стать первым публичным держателем монеты в качестве основного резервного актива. Вернуться на прежние позиции активу не удалось и по данным на 27 августа он торгуется выше отметки $3,1.

Зато другая криптовалюта — SOL — показала завидную динамику. 13 августа котировки превысили $200, а уже на следующий день перевалили за $205. Изначальным импульсом стали позитивные новости:

Последующая коррекция не сильно пошатнула позиции Solana. На 27 августа цена монеты удерживается выше уровня $200.

Помимо этого, Solana стала первой сетью, которая достигла 107 540 TPS во время стресс-теста. 17 августа один из блоков успешно обработал 43 016 транзакций, из которых только 50 оказались неудачными. Однако большинство операций были «пустыми» (no-op) — они не выполняли реальных вычислений, а лишь проверяли пропускную способность сети.

В августе USDe от Ethena Labs удалось ворваться в тройку крупнейших «стабильных монет». Актив уступает лишь USDT от Tether и USDC от Circle.

Однако до массовой популярности USDe еще далеко. Пока в этой гонке участвуют только два крупнейших стейблкоина. По данным опроса Pantera Capital, USDC смог обойти USDT по популярности среди специалистов, получающих зарплату в криптовалютах: 63% против 28,6%.

На фоне роста капитализации всех «стабильных монет» (на 27 августа показатель превысил $283,5 млрд) о собственном активе задумались в MetaMask. 21 августа команда некастодиального кошелька анонсировала запуск mUSD.

Актив выпустит платформа Bridge от Stripe, а технологическую поддержку обеспечит M0. mUSD будет полностью обеспечен ликвидными эквивалентами доллара США — наличными и краткосрочными казначейскими облигациями — в соотношении 1:1. Объем эмиссии на старте неизвестен, как и другие технические детали.

Чуть позже разработчики MetaMask добавили функцию входа в кошелек с помощью Google и Apple ID. Однако компания предупредила, что безопасность паролей остается критически важной, поскольку утерянные данные невозможно восстановить.

6 августа в США состоялось заседания по делу сооснователя Tornado Cash Романа Шторма: присяжные признали его виновным в сговоре с целью ведения нелицензированного бизнеса по переводу денег. По обвинениям в отмывании денег и нарушении санкционного режима жюри не смогло достичь единогласного вердикта.

По мнению некоторых правозащитников, вердикт несет риски для всей индустрии децентрализованных финансов. Представители сообщества раскритиковали решение суда и назвали его опасным прецедентом для разработчиков ПО с открытым исходным кодом. Однако представитель Минюста заявил, что ведомство перестанет преследовать создателей DeFi-приложений по статье об управлении нелицензированным бизнесом по переводу денег.

В августе состоялся и другой значимый судебный процесс — против сооснователя Terraform Labs До Квона. Он признал вину по уголовным обвинениям в мошенничестве и сговоре, а также извинился за свои действия:

«Я делал ложные и вводящие в заблуждение заявления. Я не раскрыл роль торговой фирмы в восстановлении привязки. То, что я сделал, было неправильно».

По условиям сделки, сторона обвинения согласилась запросить срок не более 12 лет в случае признания вины. Судья Пол Энгельмайер отметил, что он может назначить Квону более длительный срок наказания, чем предложил Минюст. Окончательный приговор вынесут 11 декабря.

Одним из самых обсуждаемых в сообществе событий в минувшем месяце стали заявления команды Qubic и предполагаемая атака 51% на блокчейн Monero. Это вызвало критику со стороны экспертов и лидеров мнений, а многие сочли действия проекта пиар-ходом. ForkLog постарался разобраться, что это было — реальная угроза или спектакль.

Регулирование

По данным Bloomberg, финансовые регуляторы КНР потребовали от брокерских компаний и аналитических центров отменить семинары и прекратить публиковать исследования о стейблкоинах. Журналисты предположили, что власти опасаются превращения «стабильных монет» в инструмент для мошенничества.

При этом источники Reuters сообщили, что правительство Китая рассматривает возможность разрешить использование обеспеченных юанем стейблкоинов. По их данным, план подразумевает меры по противодействию прогрессу США в области цифровых активов и рекомендации по предотвращению рисков.

Тем временем две другие азиатские страны — Южная Корея и Япония — включились в гонку за стейблкоины. Первая разрабатывает регулирующий сегмент законопроект, вторая —- планирует осенью одобрить запуск привязанного к иене актива JPYC.

Вместе с этим FSC потребовала от местных бирж временно приостановить операции по криптокредитованию. Решение последовало за сообщениями о масштабных потерях среди пользователей, включая тысячи случаев принудительной ликвидации по соответствующим программам.

Пока другие страны только задумываются о запуске собственных «стабильных монет», американский штат Вайоминг делает первые шаги в этом направлении — в середине августа власти объявили о появлении долларового стейблкоина Frontier Stable Token под тикером FRNT на семи блокчейнах: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Optimism, Polygon и Solana.

FRNT обеспечен краткосрочными казначейскими векселями США и национальной валютой. К монете на законодательном уровне установлено требование к объему резервов в размере 102%.

«FRNT разработан для обеспечения безопасных, прозрачных и эффективных цифровых транзакций для частных лиц, компаний и организаций по всему миру», — говорится в анонсе.

Однако Вайоминг отличился не только в позитивном ключе. Из-за резкого роста мошенничества в стране на рассмотрение властей внесли два законопроекта об ограничении работы криптоматов. В случае их принятия операторов ATM обяжут получить лицензию на денежные переводы, а клиентам лимитируют операции до $1000 в сутки. При этом комиссии ограничат на уровне $5 или 3% от суммы транзакции.

Криптокриминал

В первом полугодии хакеры похитили более $3,01 млрд в ходе 119 атак. Это в полтора раза превышает общие убытки криптовалютной индустрии за весь прошлый год, согласно Global Ledger. По данным аналитиков, главной проблемой стала скорость вывода средств злоумышленниками после взломов.

В 84% случаев системы безопасности регистрировали инциденты в день их возникновения. В 68,1% атак украденные средства перемещались еще до того, как компании обнаруживали взлом. В 10,1% инцидентов злоумышленники выводили деньги мгновенно, а в 64,7% — в первые 24 часа.

Рекордная скорость перевода составила 4 секунды. При этом среднее время от атаки до первого перемещения — 15 часов. Публичное раскрытие обычно занимает 37 часов. Это значит, что у киберпреступников есть более 20 часов для заметания следов.

Август не стал исключением в части взломов. Так, DeFi-платформа кредитования CrediX на основе Sonic остановила работу после атаки c ущербом на ~$4,5 млн. Как оказалось, разработчики совершили экзит-скам.

Некоторые пользователи сами помогли злоумышленникам: 6 августа появились сообщения, что инвестор лишился лишился $3,05 млн после подписания вредоносной транзакции. А один из ключевых разработчиков Ethereum Зак Коул стал жертвой криптовалютного дрейнера.

Вероятно, сообщество еще услышит о пострадавших от фишинговой кампании через Google Ads, нацеленной на пользователей Aave. По данным PeckShield, злоумышленники разместили платные объявления — ссылки вели на поддельные сайты с просьбой подключить криптокошелек.

Параллельно эксперты SentinelLABS предупредили о другой атаке: с 2024 года неизвестные захватывают старые YouTube-каналы, публиковавшие новости о криптовалютах. Мошенники рекламируют торговых ботов, которые крадут средства пользователей. Видео создают с помощью ИИ, а негативные комментарии оперативно удаляют.

В конце месяца ончейн-сыщик ZachXBT попытался развенчать миф о «гениальности» хакеров из Северной Кореи. По его словам, это «просто люди, которые были слишком некомпетентны, чтобы попасть в более скрытные подразделения». Тем не менее им удаются успешные кражи криптовалют. Например, группа TraderTraitor использовала фриланс-вакансии для получения доступа к облачным системам IT-компаний, в результате похитив цифровые активы «на сумму в несколько миллионов».

Основатель CertiK и профессор Колумбийского университета Жунхуэй Гу назвал войну с хакерами «бесконечной». По его мнению, в 2026 году убытки от взломов сохранятся на миллиардном уровне, а методы киберпреступников совершенствуются параллельно с мерами защиты.

В августе свое развитие получила история с пожертвованием биткоинов Минюсту Чехии: местная полиция арестовала неназванного программиста. Судя по СМИ и контексту, им оказался Томаш Йиржиковски — основатель закрытого в 2013 году даркнет-маркетплейса Sheep Marketplace. В 2017 году он получил девятилетний тюремный срок, но вышел на свободу условно-досрочно через четыре года.

После этого он попытался вернуть изъятую технику, включая ноутбук с биткоин-кошельком, на котором хранилось около 1560 BTC. Прогнозы

Август оказался богат на прогнозы. Так, на фоне оживления крипторынка некоторые лидеры мнений, аналитики и эксперты решили высказать свое мнение по дальнейшей судьбе крупнейших активов:

Интересно, что редко когда авторы прогнозов признают свои ошибки. Исключение — профессор Гарварда и бывший главный экономист МВФ Кеннет Рогофф. Он согласился, что его предположение в 2018 году о том, что цена биткоина с большей вероятностью упадет до $100, чем достигнет $100 000, оказалось ошибочным.

Популярные лонги

Резервы

Разговоры вокруг резервов в цифровых активах не утихли и в августе. Пока одни увеличивают вложения в криптовалюты, другие предупреждают об опасности такого подхода. В числе последних — аналитики Galaxy Digital, по мнению которых модель накопления монет за счет выпуска акций создает системную уязвимость и может привести к каскадному обвалу.

Главный риск модели — зависимость от премии к NAV. Если премия исчезнет или станет отрицательной, компании потеряют возможность эффективно привлекать капитал. Это может запустить «разворот тренда»: фирмы начнут выкупать свои акции или продавать криптоактивы для поддержания котировок, что создаст давление на рынок.

Эксперты сравнили ситуацию с бумом инвестиционных трастов 1920-х годов. Тогда крах премий к NAV ускорил обвал фондового рынка.

В сообществе тоже нет единого мнения на этот счет. Сторонники утверждают, что такие структуры «повышают видимость экосистемы» и создают долгосрочную ценность. Критики же указывают на риски конфликта интересов.

Тем временем с начала года корпоративные казначейства и фонды купили 371 111 BTC, что в 3,75 раза превышает объем добычи майнерами за тот же период.

«Биткоинов не хватит на всех, если институты продолжат накапливать криптовалюту такими темпами», — отметил Андре Драгош из Bitwise.

К примеру, одни из самых престижных учебных заведений США — Гарвард и Брауновский университет — отчитались о покупках биткоина через ETF: около 1,9 млн IBIT и 212 500 IBIT соответственно.

В отличие от университетов, компаний и других американское правительство не намерено покупать биткоин для формирования стратегического резерва. По словам главы Минфина Скотта Бессента, он должен пополняться за счет средств, изъятых в ходе уголовных и гражданских процессов.

Список возможных для покупки в резервы криптовалют значительно расширился. Так, на 21 августа 69 компаний добавили в свои резервы более 4,1 млн ETH — 3,39% от общего предложения Ethereum. Крупнейший корпоративный держатель — BitMine Immersion Technologies, на втором месте SharpLink Gaming.

Виталик Бутерин назвал корпоративные казначейства в Ethereum полезными, поскольку они расширяют круг инвесторов и создают альтернативные варианты инвестиций. Однако он предупредил, что чрезмерное использование заемных средств компаниями может превратить это в «опасную игру».

Пока ко второй части заявления сооснователя Ethereum мало кто прислушался. Фармацевтическая фирма MEI Pharma первой среди публичных компаний США объявила о создании Litecoin-резерва — она приобрела 929 548 LTC за $110,4 млн.

8 августа Chainlink запустил стратегический резерв LINK. «Цифровые запасы» будут пополняться за счет доходов проекта как от крупных корпоративных клиентов, так и от комиссий внутри сети. На момент запуска в нем уже размещено LINK на сумму свыше $1 млн.

Публичные компании активно формируют резервы и в BNB. К примеру, инвестиционная фирма B Strategy, основанная выходцами из Bitmain, создаст компанию с казначейством в этом токене. В течение нескольких недель проект планирует выйти на Nasdaq и привлечь $1 млрд.

Так что август стал для BNB вполне удачным месяцем. 21 числа монета обновила исторический максимум на уровне $881. Рыночная капитализация токена превысила $120 млрд.

Сокращения в отрасли

Смещение экономической оси и «супербиткоинизация»

В интервью подкастеру Питеру Маккормаку предприниматель и автор книги The Network State Баладжи Сринивасан спрогнозировал скорый коллапс западной экономики, «супербиткоинизацию» доллара США и возникновение нового мирового финансового центра — Азии.

ForkLog подготовил краткий пересказ этого большого интервью, в котором создатель концепции сетевых государств поделился мнением о превосходстве Китая, мировой миграции талантов и новом подходе к образованию.

Ребалансировка мировой экономики

Сринивасан начал с важнейшего в его понимании графика — смещения геоцентра мирового ВВП. Он отражает 2000 лет экономического лидерства Евразии и сформирован через усреднение экономик Китая, Японии, Юго-Восточной Азии, Индии, Ближнего Востока и Европы.

До промышленной революции на территории Евразии был устойчивый экономический и военный паритет. В конце XVIII века с началом применения машин на паровых двигателях вектор начал активно смещаться в сторону Запада.

«Потом все начали лупить друг друга своими новыми „чудо-оружиями“: Первая мировая, Вторая мировая… Когда все закончилось, Япония была уничтожена ядерными бомбами, Россия — коммунистическая, Индия — социалистическая, Восточная Европа — разбита, Центральная Европа — в руинах, даже Великобритания была разбомблена», — напомнил Сринивасан.

После мировой катастрофы США оказались одной из немногих стран, практически не пострадавшей от войны. Как объясняет Сринивасан, в 1950 году наступил пик американизации и сопутствующей централизации. На другом полюсе находились «гигастраны»: СССР с населением 300 млн человек, еще по миллиарду приходилось на Китай и Индию. Соперничество между ними длилось около 40 лет. После распада Советского Союза, а вместе с ним классического коммунизма социалистические страны начали переходить к рыночной экономике. Даже Китай стал капиталистическим, хотя и сохранил ярлык «коммунистического государства», как и Вьетнам.

С тех пор мировая экономика вновь сместилась в сторону Азии — и намного быстрее, чем до этого. То, что раньше занимало тысячи лет, потом сотни, теперь случилось за десятки.

Сринивасан описывает этот процесс как «U-образную кривую», где мировая экономика возвращается к тому состоянию, в котором она находилась до 1950 года. По его мнению, ситуация делает устаревшими все институты, созданные после Второй мировой войны, такие как ООН и Всемирный банк, потому что «деньги там, где сила, а на Западе их больше нет»:

«Я могу показать много других графиков, но суть в этой кривой. А движение MAGA и даже Build Back Better — это попытка вернуться в 1950 год. Потому что именно он стал „нулевой точкой“ нынешнего истеблишмента, с которой, как они считают, все должно начинаться».

Основатель Network School (NS) полагает, что мы можем стать свидетелями изменений экономики в абсолютных значениях в придачу к частым относительным ребалансировкам сил. Он предлагает сосредоточиться на историческом аспекте для понимания возможностей Индии и Китая, ведь в прошлом эти страны составляли большую часть мирового рынка.

«Страны G7 постепенно снижают свою долю в мировом ВВП, а страны БРИКС — растут. Но под БРИКС в основном подразумеваются Китай и Индия, в меньшей степени — Россия и в некоторой степени Бразилия. В целом, переворот уже произошел», — считает предприниматель.

Он отметил — события разворачиваются настолько стремительно, что реальную ситуацию не всегда возможно адекватно оценить:

«Если ты не следишь за Азией, не наблюдаешь за Дубаем и Эр-Риядом, не изучаешь разные юрисдикции — ты как человек, который смотрит на быстро летящий мяч. Если мяч катится медленно, ты можешь посмотреть, отвернуться, посмотреть снова — и он примерно на том же месте. Но если мяч летит быстро, ты взглянешь — он здесь, отвернешься — он уже вон там. Он движется намного быстрее, чем ты думаешь. Многие экономические тренды сегодня — именно такие, они „летают“ со скоростью света. И поскольку в голливудских фильмах и западных медиа почти не показывают подъем Востока, ты просто не видишь этого».

Китай и интернет — два спонсора перемен

Сринивасан считает, что америкоцентричный мир больше не разделен на «красные» (консервативные) и «синие» (демократические) США. Конфликт стал четырехсторонним — к нему добавились Китай и интернет.

КНР благодаря достижениям в области робототехнике и строительстве дронов угрожает «красной Америке» в сферах производства и военной мощи, а интернет ослабляет «синюю» в сфере медиа и финансов:

«И это будет только усиливаться в ближайшие 10 лет. Интернет — это ИИ и криптовалюта. Значит, он захватит все медиа и все деньги. А Китай делает роботов и дронов. То есть он захватит все производство и всю военную мощь. Конечно, в основе этого биткоин, но я говорю не только о нем — я имею в виду, что каждая акция, каждая облигация, каждый контракт — все это уйдет в блокчейн».

У США действительно есть проблема: компоненты для ракет «Томагавк» производятся в Китае. Это, по мнению Сринивасана, сыграет важную роль в торговой войне и других конфликтах двух держав.

Он отметил бессмысленность тарифной политики президента США Дональда Трампа. По его мнению, в нынешних условиях она не сработает. После первых торговых войн в 2015 году Китай значительно диверсифицировал источники дохода. Примерно 15-16% китайских доходов зависят от торговли с Северной Америкой. Если предположить, что торговля упадет на 50%, для КНР это будут некритичные 8%.

«Я думаю, что к 2035–2040 годам — может раньше, может позже — произойдет следующее: демократы встанут на сторону китайских коммунистов, а республиканцы превратятся в биткоин-максималистов», — спрогнозировал эксперт.

От тарифных войн страдают многие нейтральные страны, такие как Вьетнам и Малайзия. Теперь им приходится выбирать лагерь Китая. Предприниматель приводит пример 49% тарифов Вьетнама:

«Ему годами говорили, что он „с нами против Китая“, и тут вдруг — вот такой удар. И это происходит из-за отсутствия долгосрочной стратегической мысли».

Сринивасан также отметил ускоряющееся падение доллара США и гиперинфляцию. Он сравнил темпы роста цены биткоина за последние 16 лет с пропорциональным ослаблением резервной валюты:

«За 16 лет, если посчитать сложный процент, это ~10,41% девальвации доллара к биткоину каждый месяц. Так что гиперинфляция уже наступила. Просто это „супербиткоинизация“. Мы как будто в скоростном поезде, который ускоряется настолько быстро и незаметно, что мы даже не ощущаем это. […] В скольких фильмах вы видели, как инопланетяне вторгаются на Землю? Во многих. Сколько фильмов про убийц-роботов? Тоже куча. Но вы почти нигде не видели, как выглядит конец доллара».

По его словам, масштаб Китая осязаем только если находиться в самой стране. То же предприниматель отметил и в отношении интернета и криптовалют — «увидеть можно разве что по росту комьюнити и политическому принятию биткоина».

Миграция умов и денег

Капитал и талантливые люди покидают мегаполисы Запада и переезжают в Австралию, Сингапур и Дубай. Сринивасан считает, что в будущем финансовыми центрами станут Майами, Дубай и Сингапур, а не Нью-Йорк, Лондон и Токио, как это было раньше.

Он предполагает, что «англо-американский мир» сохранится в Австралии и Новой Зеландии, так как они «более реалистично оценивают положение и не верят в свое мировое господство».

«Сейчас мир перед тобой открыт. Есть около 30 стран с программами для цифровых кочевников. Сальвадор набирает людей, Восточная Европа набирает, Япония, масса других мест. Даже Гонконг набирает, у них пять разных виз талантов», — комментирует предприниматель.

Сринивасан отметил стремительный рост уровня жизни и экономики в Азии на примере Индии. В стране радикально улучшились городское освещение, инфраструктура и торговые сети. Среди прочего он выделил аэропорт Бангалора, сравнив его с лондонским Хитроу.

«Если Китай — это государство, то Индия — это сеть. Международные и интернет-индийцы — это важная часть глобальной сети. Если будущее — это Китай против интернет-индийцев, то последние составят значительную часть интернета. Одна из причин в том, что в Америке индийцы — граждане второго сорта, а в интернете — первого. В США их визу могут отозвать, их могут обругать, а в интернете у них такие же условия по биткоину, такие же смарт-контракты, такая же идентичность — они равны со всеми. Интернет — это одноранговая сеть, где все равны, можно честно договориться и заключить справедливую сделку. И этого достаточно для быстро развивающегося народа. Они не требуют особого отношения — лишь равного. А при равных условиях они могут очень многого достичь», — считает Сринивасан.

Основатель NS отметил изменения в мировой системе образования. Он раскритиковал современную методологию, которая, по его мнению, была создана для централизации, а не развития личности. Он предсказывает, что интернет полностью трансформирует обучение, сделав его более похожим на ученичество и самообразование:

«Вся прусская система, унаследованная от Германии, была призвана стабилизировать людей для централизованного государства. Она не предназначалась для того, чтобы максимально быстро поднять человека до максимально возможного уровня, обучая его в кратчайшие сроки в соответствии с его способностями. Таким образом, я думаю, что образование будет полностью трансформировано интернетом. И оно будет больше похоже на Америку XVIII–XIX веков. Есть отличная книга, которая рассказывает о том, как ученичество работало во времена Бенджамина Франклина. Я думаю, мы вернемся к чему-то подобному».

Сринивасан верит в то, что сетевые государства и в частности NS поддерживая молодые таланты и развивая сообщества, смогут стать началом этих перемен.

ForkLog изучил динамику основных активов, DeFi-сектора и ETF (данные за 1-29 августа).

Динамика основных активов

Капитализация криптовалютного рынка в августе незначительно увеличилась с $3,85 трлн до $3,88 трлн, согласно CoinGecko. За последние 30 дней цена биткоина снизилась на 5,9%, Ethereum — подскочила на 17%.

14 августа котировки цифрового золота достигли $124 128, установив новый ценовой рекорд. На этом фоне его капитализация достигла $2,4 трлн, войдя в топ-5 крупнейших активов в мире. По показателю криптовалюта ненадолго обошла Google.

20 августа курс биткоина скорректировался на 10% от августовского максимума в $124 000. Индекс страха и жадности упал до 44 — самого низкого уровня за два месяца. Однако уже на следующий день цена восстановилась до ~$112 000, а настроения сменились со «страха» на «нейтральные».

22 августа состоялось выступление председателя Федеральной резервной системы США (ФРС) Джерома Пауэлла на конференции в Джексон-Хоуле. Он указал на слабые данные по рынку труда и замедление экономики, но намекнул на готовность снизить ключевую ставку в сентябре. На этом фоне котировки биткоина выросли с уровня около $112 400 до отметок выше $117 000.

Однако позитив оказался кратковременным. 26 августа первая криптовалюта провалила уровень $110 000 — впервые за семь недель. По состоянию на 29 августа биткоин удерживается выше отметки $111 250.

Вторая по капитализации криптовалюта в течение месяца демонстрировала в основном позитивную динамику, хотя были и заметные просадки. 14 августа ей не хватило менее $100 до обновления рекорда, а 23 числа цена в моменте достигла $4889. Котировки превысили исторический максимум в $4878, зафиксированный в ноябре 2021 года CoinGecko.

За этим последовал откат и на момент написания актив торгуется выше $4455.

По данным на конец месяца индекс доминирования BTC составил 56,4%, ETH — 13,7%. Криптовалютный индекс страха и жадности указывает на нейтральные настроения на рынке, среднее значение в августе — 59.

На 29 августа монеты из топ-10 по капитализации по большей части находятся в «красной зоне».

DeFi

Общий объем заблокированной стоимости в DeFi-протоколах вырос с $137,4 млрд до $156,2 млрд. Показатель в Ethereum-приложениях подскочил c $81,9 млрд до $93 млрд.

В рейтинге протоколов Aave ($39,7 млрд) незначительно превосходит Lido ($39,2 млрд) в борьбе за первое место. Третью строчку занимает EigenLayer с показателем $20 млрд.

Объем торгов на децентрализованных биржах за последние 30 дней составил $463,1 млрд. На 29 августа доля PancakeSwap в показателе составила 42,1%, Uniswap — 34,8%. В сети Solana доминировала PumpSwap с 65,5%.

ETF

В августе общий месячный приток в BTC-ETF составил $624,5 млрд. Совокупные поступления с момента одобрения продуктов достигли $54,4 млрд. Общая чистая стоимость активов под управлением фондов — $145 млрд.

На IBIT от BlackRock приходится $83,9 млрд, следом идут FBTC от Fidelity ($22,5 млрд) и GBTC от Grayscale ($20 млрд).

Приток в ETH-ETF составил $4 млрд. С момента запуска инструменты аккумулировали $13,7 млрд. Общая чистая стоимость активов — $29,5 млрд.

Лидерами по привлеченным средствам выступают ETHA от BlackRock ($16,9 млрд) и ETHE от Grayscale ($4,8 млрд).

«Борьба будет длиться вечно»

Пока сюжеты антиутопий постепенно воплощаются в реальность, некоторые люди по-прежнему пытаются защитить свои личные данные и отстаивают приватность в сети. Поговорили с шифропанком Антоном Нестеровым о главных угрозах конфиденциальности и способах им противостоять.

ForkLog: Что сейчас является ядром идеологии шифропанка: приватность для открытого общества или недоверие к власти?

Антон Нестеров: Ядром шифропанка является идея широкого применения криптографии, которая направлена против любого решившего покуситься на конфиденциальность. Шифропанки не доверяют ни государству, ни корпорациям, ни словам — они доверяют только математике заложенной в криптографических протоколах.

ForkLog: Джулиан Ассанж в своих ранних работах говорил, что криптография — это оружие слабых против сильных. Насколько это оружие остается эффективным сегодня, когда «сильные» (государства, корпорации) обладают беспрецедентными возможностями слежки и взлома?

Антон: Угроза того, что развитие компьютерных технологий приведет к беспрецедентной слежке, осознавалась с самого начала. Создатель пакетных сетей Пол Баран в 1968 году писал о моральной ответственности инженера в деле защиты конфиденциальности, называя инженеров, соглашающихся работать над уничтожением конфиденциальности, «шлюхами среди нас», но описывая это как неизбежность и что такие люди всегда найдутся.

В 1983 году журналист New York Times Дэвид Бернхэм написал книгу The Rise of the Computer State, в которой в оруэлловском стиле описаны появляющиеся тогда практики массового компьютерного сбора данных. Сейчас мы живем в мире, где все из этой книги — часть повседневной жизни.

Шифропанки появились на фоне этого, и в криптографии увидели защиту. Несмотря на то, что и возможности слежки увеличились, криптографических способов защитить себя сейчас тоже беспрецедентное количество. Так что криптография остается оружием слабых против еще более сильных.

ForkLog: Раньше главным врагом приватности чаще всего виделось государство. Сегодня мы добровольно отдаем свои данные корпорациям. Изменился ли главный оппонент?

Антон: Государство не являлось никогда единственным врагом, оппонентами являлись все, кто желает нарушить конфиденциальность. Корпорации могут быть принуждены государством к передаче информации, так что граница между ними условна. Но оппонентом может быть и индивид, и от него так же защищает криптография.

ForkLog: Некоторые утверждают, что битва за приватность уже проиграна. Mass surveillance, биг дата — мы живем в мире тотальной слежки. Есть ли еще смысл бороться?

Антон: В мире существуют и тоталитарные государства, но это не значит, что борьба за демократию проиграна. Эта борьба будет длиться вечно.

ForkLog: Люди «соглашаются на слежку» ради удобства сервисов. Как можно переломить эту тенденцию? Как убедить обычного человека, что его приватность важнее комфорта?

Антон: Обычно на этот вопрос отвечают тирадами про свободное общество и важность конфиденциальности для защиты от авторитаризма и защиты свободы слова. Это правильные и важные аргументы, но многим людям на них плевать. Некоторые, когда их слышат, даже закатывают глаза. Они не интересуются политикой, стараются вести простую жизнь, никуда не лезть, не занимаются профессиональной деятельностью, требующей повышенной конфиденциальности, и считают что эти вопросы их не касаются. Это не так.

Им нужны примеры ближе. Сейчас сотни терабайт информации граждан РФ из удобных сервисов лежат в свободном доступе, слитые украинскими хактивистами. Это показывает нам, что в принципе хранят сервисы и насколько это важная информация. Теперь видно: добавив немного социальной инженерии, человека можно заставить делать практически что угодно, и это работает с самыми обычными людьми, которым было нечего скрывать. Данные делают возможным шантаж, кражу личности, сталкинг и множество других неприятных вещей.

Людям придется понять, что кто угодно будет использовать их данные против них любыми способами, в том числе теми, о которых они не подозревают, и им это не понравится. Чтобы от этого защититься, необходима конфиденциальность. Чтобы обеспечить конфиденциальность, необходима криптография.

ForkLog: Как движение шифропанков реагирует на новые вызовы, которых не существовало в 90-е: распознавание лиц, предиктивная аналитика, ИИ-цензура, централизованные цифровые валюты (CBDC)?

Антон: Невозможно откатить назад распознавание лиц, эта технология уже есть — она дешевая и доступная. Но в руках государства она становится особенно опасной. И опасность эта исходит не только от самого факта слежки, но и от того, что распознавание лиц не может быть идеальным. В сочетании с полицейской силой и эффектом повышенного доверия правоохранителей к доказательствам от «искусственного интеллекта» это уже приводило к неприятным случаям.

Можно вспомнить историю Александра Цветкова, которого система распознавания лиц в аэропорту Домодедово перепутала с фотороботом серийного маньяка. Человека за это 10 месяцев продержали в СИЗО и даже допытали до того, чтобы он подписал явку с повинной.

Подобное регулярно происходит и в США, так что это не уникальная российская проблема, это следствие совмещения «волшебной коробки» и полицейских. Остановить распознавание лиц нельзя, но можно остановить его применение государством путем законодательных запретов, как в некоторых городах Соединенных Штатов.

Предиктивная аналитика и вообще скоринг имеют много проблем. Это абсолютно непрозрачная система. Никто не сможет сказать, что конкретно эта черная коробка делает и почему она выдает такой результат. Статистические модели могут находить корреляции, которые существуют, но не имеют значимости. Редкие случаи для них — отдельная проблема.

Сам сбор данных тоже может содержать ошибки. И потом на основе этого автоматически принимаются решения, которые никто не сможет объяснить, но подобныерешения влияют на жизни людей. Так работает кредитный скоринг, это используется при расчете стоимости страховки, с помощью него определяется показ рекламы в интернете, принимаются государственные и не только решения.

Шифропанки выступают за защиту данных с помощью сильной криптографии, что решает проблемы на корню.

ИИ-цензура ничем не отличается от любой другой бигтех-цензуры. Государства вынуждают компании вводить ограничения, никто не хочет попасть под нож регулятора. К счастью, появилось много свободных больших моделей, так что эта проблема частично решена, и будущее ИИ не настолько туманно.

CBDC обсуждались шифропанками еще в 1994 году, хоть и без такого названия. Их подход к технологии ничем не отличается от подхода к обычному банкингу, решением выступают криптовалюты.

ForkLog: Если бы вам нужно было составить «современный набор для выживания» шифропанка, какие бы инструменты в него вошли?

Антон: Главный инструмент — голова и понимание предмета. Практическое обеспечение конфиденциальности начинается с построения модели угроз, поэтому сложно выделить что-то универсальное.

Но я бы назвал несколько недооцененных вещей из базового минимума: свободное программное обеспечение с последними обновлениями из надежного источника, полнодисковое шифрование, аутентификация с помощью хардварного токена WebAuthn (и использование аппаратного кошелька в случае криптовалют), отказ от повторного использования паролей и стремление всегда оставлять как можно меньше данных.

ForkLog: Биткоин, с его псевдоанонимным и публичным блокчейном, часто критикуют за недостаток приватности. Являются ли монеты с упором на анонимность (Monero, Zcash) достойной заменой? Или сама концепция децентрализованных денег уже соответствует духу движения?

Антон: В текущем виде Monero и Zcash сложно назвать конечными решениями, у них много ограничений по юзабилити: они создавались, криптография только появлялась и многие проблемы не были решены.

Для действительного массового принятия криптовалют просто необходим конфиденциальный блокчейн. Транзакции для компаний — это их коммерческая тайна, даже современная банковская система позволяет ее обеспечить в большинстве случаев. Можно представить ситуацию, как это ударит и по обычным людям, например, оплата в отеле на другом конце страны будет значить, что хозяев нет дома. Совместив это с балансами, можно представить автоматическую генерацию самых привлекательных целей для воров-домушников.

Это не те свойства новых денег, которые мы хотим иметь. Из банка данные может получить государство, но они не доступны кому угодно в реальном времени. Этот кейс отсутствует в банковской системе, существует юридическая ответственность за нарушение банковской тайны, но почему-то это до сих пор считается нормальным в криптовалютах.

К сожалению, на решение этой проблемы оказывается колоссальное давление, особенно после жестких претензий к Tornado Cash с санкциями и уголовными делами. После этого стало понятно, что публичная бизнес-модель для таких проектов недоступна из-за рисков. zkSNACKs перестали хостить координатор CoinJoin, Trezor прекратили его поддержку, а разработчиков Samourai Wallet арестовали.

Вся индустрия сейчас испытывает огромный «охлаждающий эффект» от того, как поступили с остальными, но какие-то исследования все равно продолжаются.

Мы можем иметь конфиденциальные транзакции и на биткоине. CoinJoin не идеален, но он есть. Confidential Transactions и Bulletproofs — попытки были. Сейчас ZeroSync активно ресерчит потенциал применения доказательств с нулевым разглашением на биткоине.

Я думаю, мы пройдем такой же путь, как и с криптографией в целом. Она запрещалась, высказывались тезисы, что идеи позволят общаться незамеченно террористам, педофилам, советским шпионам и прочим страшным людям, но теперь мы живем в мире, где TLS практически на каждом сайте, поскольку его отсутствие помогало другим страшным людям воровать деньги.

Сейчас идея конфиденциального блокчейна встречает противодействие со стороны государств, называются примерно те же причины: финансирование терроризма, отмывание денег. Но мы не можем из-за этого жертвовать банковской тайной, потому что это делает нас уязвимыми перед людьми, которые хотят нам навредить.

ForkLog: Раньше инструменты шифрования были уделом гиков. Сегодня Signal, Tor Browser, VPN стали значительно доступнее. Помогло ли это в популяризации движения шифропанков?

Антон: Шифропанки популяризовали криптографию до такой степени, что она повсюду, и невозможно представить мир без нее. Может и не в том абсолюте, в каком бы хотелось, но идеи проникли. Развитие криптопротоколов, появление более юзерфрендли-софта, это все, конечно, увеличивает базу пользователей. Цель шифропанков в том, чтобы каждый пользовался криптографией и не замечал этого.

Алексей Юрчак в книге «Это было навсегда, пока не кончилось» отмечал внутреннее противоречие, с которым сталкивалось советское государство. С одной стороны, СССР производил огромными количествами коротковолновые радиоприемники, создавались клубы радиолюбителей, в журнале «Радио» публиковались инструкции сборки приемников своими руками. Но при этом тратились и огромные ресурсы на заглушение «вражеских голосов», хотя саму основу для приема этих голосов — коротковолновые приемники, навыки радиотехники — создало само государство.

Мне видится ситуация с популяризацией средств обхода цензуры и обеспечения конфиденциальности чем-то похожим. Государство тратит триллионы на ТСПУ, чтобы ограничивать доступ к информации, но это вынуждает людей пользоваться средствами обхода цензуры, которые заодно делают трафик недоступным для анализа через СОРМ.

Каждое движение государства делает шифропанками все больше людей. Они начинают задумываться об анализе трафика, когда у них начинает плохо открываться YouTube, о конфиденциальности, когда видят абсурдные сроки за какие-то картинки из «ВКонтакте» 15-летней давности. Сейчас это, наверное, главный драйвер роста шифропанка в России.

ForkLog: В каком месте заканчивается шифропанк и начинается паранойя?

Антон: У этого медицинская граница. Паранойя это нечто, не имеющее отношения к реальности. Если вам кажется, что ФСБ устанавливает коробки перехвата трафика на каждом узле связи, то вам не кажется — так и есть, это факт, вам придется жить с этим. Если вам кажется, что ФСБ пытается контролировать вас, передавая сигналы через микроволновку, то лучше обратиться к врачу.

ForkLog: Искусственный интеллект можно использовать как для тотальной слежки и цензуры, так и для создания более мощных инструментов криптографии и анонимности. Видите ли вы в ИИ угрозу, инструмент или и все вместе?

Антон: В ИИ главная угроза — социальная. Люди слишком доверяют просто большой статистической модели, которая всего-навсего может предсказывать следующий токен в сообщении. В этом есть вина маркетологов, которые продают это как обладающий всеми человеческими знаниями и никогда не ошибающийся суперкомпьютер, что сильно заходит людям, далеким от технологий.

У этого много последствий в разных сферах, начиная с засилья в поисковой выдаче ИИ-слопа и заканчивая неправильно принятыми решениями на разных уровнях из-за переоценки качества решений нейросети. Эффект от этого чуть спадет после того, как технология станет привычнее и человечество научится с этим жить.

Не думаю, что ИИ как-то сильно повлияет на криптографию и что тут есть какой-то большой потенциал для синергии. Вероятно, ИИ поможет сгенерировать какой-нибудь логотип для документов про новый криптографический протокол. Это все-таки технологии немного про разное.

ForkLog: Есть ли смысл начинать борьбу за приватность обычному человеку, который уже успел оставить свой цифровой след?

Антон: Это позволит не оставлять след дальше.

ForkLog: Если бы вам пришлось обновить манифест шифропанков, то какие бы новые тезисы туда вошли?

Антон: Манифест шифропанков — законченный текст и в нем уже написано все, что должно было. Остается только следовать ему.

Сложность майнинга биткоина в августе замедлила рост. В результате двух перерасчетов показатель последовательно прибавил 1,42% и 0,2%, достигнув рекордной отметки в 129,7 Т.

Коррелируемый с метрикой хешрейт к концу месяца также обновил исторический максимум. Сглаженное семидневной скользящей средней значение достигло уровня 960 EH/s.

По данным Bitcoin Mining Stock, публичные майнинговые компании нарастили долю в вычислительной мощности сети первой криптовалюты до 39,7%. Четверка в составе MARA, CleanSpark, IREN и Cango продолжает лидировать, контролируя более 20% глобального хешрейта.

Хешпрайс к концу августа упал до ~$54 за PH/s в сутки, несмотря на кратковременный скачок к $60 в середине месяца. На начало месяца метрика доходности майнинга находилась на уровне ~$57 за PH/s в сутки.

В TheMinerMag подтвердили мнение о том, что майнеры сталкиваются с «невероятно сложным» рынком, поскольку электроэнергия становится реальной валютой.

CEO CleanSpark Мэтт Шульц на конференции SALT в Джексон-Хоуле также отметил перемены. По его словам, раньше участники индустрии встречались здесь и говорили о хешрейте, а теперь «обсуждают, как монетизировать мегаватты». Компания стремится масштабировать бизнес за пределы биткоина и ончейн-услуг за счет строящихся ~400 МВт мощностей в дополнение к 800 МВт работающих.
