The trend underwent a small correction, hinting a minor bull flag formation, that led the price to Tuesday morning low at $0.113. XLM retested the same level once again following an upside rejection during today’s European session. But overall, the cryptocurrency maintained its bullish bias on a two-day performance basis.Join CCN for $9.99 per month and get an ad-free version of CCN including discounts for future events and services. Per its statement, Stellar’s blockchain would allow those banks to move value across borders more cheaply and swiftly than traditional payment networks – using stablecoins. IBM also admitted that it had proposed its new partners to use XLM as a bridge currency whenever it becomes hard to trade one fiat-backed stablecoin for another.That explained one part of the XLM’s upside performance, which is similar to the cryptocurrency’s earliest price actions around similar announcements. For instance, XLM had posted 11.20-percent gains in three days soon after Germany-based media company Börsenmedien AG announced a partnership with SatoshiPay, a platform that – like IBM – uses Stellar blockchain solutions. The other part of bullish sentiment came from Coinbase. The US-based crypto exchange announced Monday that it was going to add XLM-enabled trading pairs to its platform. Such additions are known to be bullish if one looks at the history of Coinbase listings. Just recently, XRP’s listing on the exchange had also sparked an upside price move in its market.Stellar Lumens (XLM) support is launching at https://t.co/bCG11KveHS and in the iOS and Android apps within the next 15 minutes. You may need to update your app to properly buy, sell or convert XLM. We will update when XLM is fully live. https://t.co/YSIYNPO4JP — Coinbase (@coinbase) March 18, 2019XLM Prediction Fundamentally, XLM could be in for a strong bullish move purely out of speculation. There is no clarity whether or not those six international banks would use XLM for their cross border payment trials. The mention of stablecoin in IBM’s announcement itself explains that banks are not ready to risk their remittance services over a volatile asset. So far, XLM is inside the picture only as a backup currency. But how much demand does a backup asset can attract cannot be known.XLM PRICE TECHNICAL | SOURCE: YAHOO FINANCETechnically, the XLM price is trending inside a small rising wedge formation, which is bearish. As the rate approaches the apex of the wedge, it could note it’s trading volume falling. Eventually, the XLM price could break below the wedge support, opening a short opportunity towards a breakdown target towards $0.107. jQuery(document).ready(function(){ setTimeout(function(){ window.newVuukleWidgets({ elementsIndex: 170615, articleId: 170615, img: "https://www.ccn.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/XLM-Sstock-150x150.jpg", title: "XLM Surges 11% after IBM Partners 6 Global Banks to Use Stellar Blockchain", tags: "Stellar, XLM", url: "https://www.ccn.com/stellar-xlm-surges-11-percent-ibm-six-banks", }); }, 2000); });document.addEventListener("DOMContentLoaded", function(event) { var commentBoxDiv2 = document.getElementById("vuukle-comments"); var commentBoxDivAfter2 = document.getElementsByClassName("postauthor")[0]; var cloneCommentBoxDiv2 = commentBoxDiv2.cloneNode(true);commentBoxDiv2.parentNode.removeChild(commentBoxDiv2); commentBoxDivAfter2.parentNode.insertBefore(cloneCommentBoxDiv2, commentBoxDivAfter2.nextSibling); });#vuukle-comments{position:relative!important} var VUUKLE_CONFIG = { apiKey: "c0756128-a51e-44af-9c60-d971619bf980", articleId: "170615", tags: "Stellar, XLM", author: "Yashu Gola", endlessMode: true, // LangwordpressSync: true, eventHandler: function (e) { console.log(e); if (e.eventType == 'wpSync') { jQuery.ajax({ type: 'POST', data: { "action": "save_comment_to_db", "comment_ID":e.comment_ID, "comment_post_ID": e.comment_post_ID, "comment_author": e.comment_author, "comment_author_email": e.comment_author_email, "comment_author_url": e.comment_author_url, "comment_content": e.comment_content, "comment_type": e.comment_type, "comment_parent_ID": e.comment_parent, "user_id": e.user_id, "comment_author_IP": e.comment_author_IP, "comment_agent": e.comment_agent, "comment_approved": e.comment_approved, "comment_date": e.comment_date, "comment_date_gmt": e.comment_date_gmt, "comment_karma": e.comment_karma, "_wpnonce": "d049d48ea9" // WPCS: XSS ok }, url: "/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php", beforeSend: function () {}, success: function (data) { } }); } }, // Articles - recommendations in emotes and comments widget recommendationsWideImages: false, globalRecommendations: true, // Colors darkMode: false, // By Widget theme: {color: "108ee9"}, comments: { vuukleAuth: true, disqusAuth: true, hideRecommendedArticles: false, hideCommentInputBox: false, enabled: true, commentingClosed: false, maxChars: '3000', countToLoad: '5', toxicityLimit: '80', spamLimit: '90', sorting: 'latest', transliteration:{ language: 'en', enabledByDefault: false, }, customText: { recommendedStories: 'TALK OF THE TOWN', }, }, emotes: { enabled: true, hideRecommendedArticles: false, size: '70', // icons size firstImg: '', firstName: 'Yeah!', secondImg: '', secondName: 'Careface', thirdImg: '', thirdName: 'hmm..', fourthImg: '', fourthName: 'HAHA', fifthImg: '', fifthName:'PISSED', sixthImg: '', sixthName: 'cry baby', disable: [], customText: {}, }, powerbar: { enabled: false, defaultEmote: 1, customText: {}, items: [ 'twitter', 'facebook', 'linkedin', 'messenger', 'whatsapp', 'reddit', 'messenger', 'pinterest', 'flipboard', 'email', ], customUrls: { twitter: `http://twitter.com/share?text=XLM Surges 11% after IBM Partners 6 Global Banks to Use Stellar Blockchain&url=https://www.ccn.com/stellar-xlm-surges-11-percent-ibm-six-banks&via=cryptocoinsnews`, }, },}; (function () { var d = document, s = d.createElement('script'); s.async = true; s.src = 'https://cdn.vuukle.com/platform.js'; (d.head || d.body).appendChild(s); })(); googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1524167859587-2'); });(function() { var referer="";try{if(referer=document.referrer,"undefined"==typeof referer||""==referer)throw"undefined"}catch(exception){referer=document.location.href,(""==referer||"undefined"==typeof referer)&&(referer=document.URL)}referer=referer.substr(0,700); var rcds = document.getElementById("rcjsload_f09f3b"); var rcel = document.createElement("script"); rcel.id = 'rc_' + Math.floor(Math.random() * 1000); rcel.type = 'text/javascript'; rcel.src = "https://trends.revcontent.com/serve.js.php?w=98632&t="+rcel.id+"&c="+(new Date()).getTime()+"&width="+(window.outerWidth || document.documentElement.clientWidth)+"&referer="+encodeURIComponent(referer); rcel.async = true; rcds.appendChild(rcel); })();
