The Czech Republic-based Miracle Tele is a blockchain-based mobile operator that looks to make mobile calling significantly more affordable and accessible through its upcoming platform and TELE token.
The token will be responsible for purchases and transactions on the platform, as well as allowing users to stake their tokens, and take shares in 40% of the profit made on a biweekly basis.
The Current Problems in the Industry
While costs have come down in the decades since the invention of the telephone back in the late 1800s, the infrastructure involved for mobile networks are still costly. These costs are passed onto the consumer, which makes the average American phone bill over $80 a month.
This number has been on the rise for the last couple of years, so despite new technology making it more accessible and reliable, increasing demand for data and international calls has counteracted any potential savings.
Furthermore, companies are offering fewer and fewer services; they would instead try to find a way to add it into the customer’s bill through a hidden fee, contract, or some other form of squeezing out more money from the customer.
As consumers demand faster and more data, costs are expected to continue to increase. Especially with networks on the cusp of integrating and trickling down 5G infrastructure, mobile providers may incite another price hike that consumers really can’t do anything about.
How Miracle Tele Is Different
Miracle Tele will forgo a lot of the traditional infrastructure thanks to their usage of blockchain technology. Expenses are massively reduced, allowing their Mobile Virtual Network (MVN) to pass along savings to the consumers.
Being a virtual network also offers other advantages, such as being usable in 163 countries. Calls from any of these supported countries to any other support country are not treated as roaming calls but instead charged with the same flat price of 0.20 EUR as a local all.
Only outgoing calls are charged, with users not being charged for incoming calls.
Data charges will also be the lowest in the industry, but these rates vary from country to country. WhatsApp and Telegram will not count against data, meaning users will always have a way to stay in touch with their friends all over the world.
The Miracle Tele system will work on a pay as you go system, with no requirement of contracts or documentation from the user. Users also have the flexibility of having as many virtual numbers as they want, with these additional numbers only costing between 2-3 EUR, with a monthly fee of 0.5 – 1.5 EUR.
The platform will initially start as a token on Ethereum’s blockchain but will at some time in the future transfer over to their own blockchain to help eliminate transaction costs and gas fees associated with Ethereum.
